“The purpose of religion is to control yourself, NOT to criticize others.”    -Dalai Lama

In case your wondering, globalization is a term or buzzword used to describe a variety of changing economic, political, cultural, ideological, environmental, and technological processes that are transforming our experience of the world. The term has been used in both the popular press and academic literature to describe a process, a condition, a system, a force, and an age. (Globalization: A Very Short Introduction by Manfred B.Steger)

In other words, globalization is the means by which the world mixes and mingles heart, mind, and soul together to form a collaborative and consolidated effort at utilizing every nick and cranny of the earth’s resources at varying degrees of beneficiality for all.

So now, what is world religion?

Glad you asked!

World religion is a little tricky to define because unlike globaliztion it has yet to be established as a term worthy of being discussed by mainstream. Like clouds without water, it exist but not really?   Yeah, you got it!  How is that even possible?

Well could it be because only a certain selected or chosen few would understand the existence of such a term? Let’s say…..maybe certain theologist, journalist,  or national world leaders???

The world has many religions and these many religions come with many differences. However, all seemingly were created for the intent to shape our communities in such a way that all should be able to COEXIST by means of religious tolerance.

So IF we all are to COEXIST, shouldn’t we be more capable of obtaining life, liberty, peace, prosperity, and so on….?

Yep, you GOT it again!

How could this be?

IT COULD ALL BE ACHIEVED BY GLOBALIZATION, just think about that for a minute?

No more fussing and fighting over his & her religion for the sake of government, no more fussing and fighting over so & so’s land, wouldn’t it be nice?

ONE WORLD, ONE RELIGION, ONE GOVERNMENT that represents ALLworld-religion

As we contemplate this week’s blog topic, use the following exercise to help you brainstorm:

  • Present two recent controversial religious issues that have risen from globalization
  • Present two non-governmental solutions to these religious issues that could rise from globalization

And without further ado the challenge is on, LET’S S.I.P!
